Complete Streets make transit safe, convenient, and comfortable. Nearly every transit trip begins and ends as a walking trip, and appropriate pedestrian amenities leading to and placed at transit stops reduces dependence on more costly alternatives. Bicycling extends the range that customers can travel via transit — assuming the supporting road infrastructure provides appropriate bicycle amenities. Prudent bus stop placement prevents delays caused by the constant need to merge back into the flow of traffic.
