Congratulations to WATS on receiving the statewide Best Practices Award for their excellent achievement in tactical urbanism techniques at the annual Michigan Transportation Planning Association conference in July. This award is given out to a TMA or MPO who has reached an agency objective or advanced the agency as a whole using creative and imaginative techniques. The statewide obligation authority used or committed is at 97% for local non-rural funds and 97.2% for local rural funds. Local agencies are encouraged to continue to submit projects for obligation if they have not done so already. Obligation limitation is currently available until September 30, 2021.
