ANTON SCHAUERTE - TrANSPORTATION PLANNER

Since joining WATS in 2022, Anton’s primary tasks include carrying out the administration of federal Transportation Performance Measures (TPMs), managing the Milan Small Urban program, coordinating data collection efforts for the Asset Management program, and creating graphics for various plans and communications. Additionally, he serves as the Communications Coordinator for the Michigan Transportation Planning Association (MTPA).

Prior to working at WATS, Anton managed the transportation program at the Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) in Jackson, MI (Region 2 Planning Commission) and Holland, MI (Macatawa Area Coordinating Council). He holds a Masters in Urban & Regional Planning from Ball State University in Indiana and a Bachelors in Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities).

Anton enjoys long-distance bicycle touring, watching NCAA hockey, and attending progressive rock concerts.

MAGGIE HUNTLEY - ASSOCIATE TRANSPORTATION PLANNER

Maggie grew up in the Ypsilanti-Ann Arbor area and graduated with a Bachelor and Master in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University. Since joining WATS in May 2022, Maggie’s primary responsibilities have included administering the non-motorized count program, developing the annual Traffic Crash Report, mapping planned transportation improvements, coordinating tactical urbanist projects, and maintaining WATS’ social media and communications.

Prior to joining WATS, Maggie worked for the planning departments in Canton Township, MI and Charleston, WV. During her time at MSU, she worked as a research assistant and was involved in the Safe Routes to School program, Sustainable Built Environment Initiative, and the Michigan Climate and Health Adaptation Program.

Outside of work, Maggie enjoys spending time with her family and pets, as well as drinking lots of bubble tea.
