WATS Special Projects
WATS participates in different project types that support Policies outlined by the WATS Policy Committee. The projects listed below highlight efforts those efforts.
Route Ypsilanti
WATS will be partnering with the City of Ypsilanti and St. Joe’s Ann Arbor on a Tactical Urbanism project in the summer of 2021. This project is focusing on traffic calming designs to reduce speeding in the City.
Chelsea POP
The City of Chelsea is partnering with WATS on the Chelsea POP demonstration project that will redeploy this fall along East and West Middle Street, East Street, Washington Street, and Madison Street. Temporary street improvements will focus on calming traffic and will prioritize pedestrian and bicycle safety.
