In May, Michigan's citizens will decide on a transportation bill that would help close the gap towards funding roadway and bridge improvements throughout the state.  Funding could yield $1.2 billion a year in new funding.

Conquer the Cold is a Winter Commuting Event from Ann Arbor’s GetDowntown program to motivate you to bike, walk, or ride the bus during the winter months.  Participants can log their alternative commutes online at the Conquer the Cold website.

After a year of planning, partnering and securing funding, ArborBike is here!  While not the City’s first bike-share system, ArborBike is the first modern system to operate locally.  In fall of 2014 several solar powered stations were installed in Ann Arbor and on UM campus and volunteers helped assemble the fleet of ArborBikes.  

Transportation agencies, including transit providers, fund improvements using a combination of locally raised, state and federally apportioned and competitive grant funds.  This article lists recent competitively awarded projects.

MDOT is in the process of publishing findings of its Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Active Travel Management project along US-23.  The EA was submitted to Federal Highway for review, and the findings will be published and available for comment later this winter, once the review process is complete.
