One of the many important funding sources for transportation projects is federal safety funds. MDOT have recently released FY 2016 Safety awards, Washtenaw County projects listed below:

Ann Arbor - Geddes at east/west of Windy Dr - Guardrail upgrades and sideslope improvements - Federal $73,212 - Local $18,303
Ann Arbor - West Stadium at pedestrian crosswalks - Install rapid flashing beacons at existing crosswalks - Federal $22,800 - Local $5,700
WCRC - County wide - Install backplates with retroreflective borders at all county traffic signals - Federal $200,088 - Local $22,232
WCRC - 9 locations - Install guardrail upgrades - Federal $168,507 - Local $42,126
WCRC - Willis at Lincoln High School drives - Road widening for CLTL, culvert replacement, driveway realignment and permanent signing - Federal $600,000 - Local $397,671
