Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a 4-year financial program that describes the schedule for obligating federal funds to state and local projects. The TIP contains federal funding information for all modes of transportation including roads/highways, non-motorized, transit capital, and operating costs. State, regional and local transportation agencies update the program each year to reflect priority projects in the LRP. WATS local agencies can adjust these projects 3 times a year!

FY2025 TIP Amendments
2nd Call (Spring 2025)
WATS is announcing the 2nd call for FY 2025 Amendments to the FY 2023-2026 TIP and LRP. Amendments are major changes that must be reviewed by the WATS Committees. Modifications are minor changes to projects that are presented to the WATS Committees for information, no action is needed. The 2nd Call FY 2025 Amendments will be presented to the WATS Technical (March 5, 2025) and Policy (March 19, 2025) Committees at their November meetings.

FY 2022 TIP Amendments
3rd Call (June 2022)
WATS is announcing the 3rd call for FY 2022 Amendments to the FY 2020-2023 TIP and LRP. Call information was sent via email to all eligible Act 51 agencies via email (March, 2022 and were due back to WATS April, 2022). Amendments are major changes that must be reviewed by the WATS Committees. Modifications are minor changes to projects that are presented to the WATS Committees for information, no action is needed. The 3rd Call FY 2022 Amendments will be presented to the WATS Technical (June 1, 2022) and Policy (June 15, 2022) Committees at their June meetings.
2nd Call (December 2021)
WATS is announcing its 2nd call for FY 2022 Amendments and Administrative modifications to the FY 2020-2023 TIP and LRP. Call information was sent via email to all eligible Act 51 agencies via email (December 3, 2021 and are due back to WATS Jan 12, 2022). Amendments are major changes that must be reviewed by the WATS Committees. Modifications are minor changes to projects that are presented to the WATS Committees for information, no action is needed.
1st Call (Fall 2021)
WATS is announcing its 1st call for FY 2022 Amendments and Administrative modifications to the FY 2020-2023 TIP. Call information was sent via email to all eligible Act 51 agencies via email (August 2, 2021). Amendments are major changes that must be reviewed by the WATS Committees. Modifications are minor changes to projects that are presented to the WATS Committees for information, no action is needed.
